Nestled on 45 picturesque acres in the heart of Oklahoma's horse country, Purcell, Oklahoma, Rogers Equine Veterinary Services operates as a primarily ambulatory practice. We believe that this approach enables our clients to provide the optimal environment for their horses' well-being. While we predominantly serve our clients at their farms, we do offer haul-in services when necessary, ensuring flexibility and convenience for the benefit of both our patients and clients.

Michael Rogers, DVM
Veterinarian

Hailing originally from Madill, Oklahoma, Dr. Rogers graduated from high school in 2003. He pursued his undergraduate studies and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University, graduating as the top student in his veterinary class in 2011. During his veterinary education, Dr. Rogers undertook externships at renowned establishments such as the Lazy E and 6666 Ranches. Following graduation, he completed internships at Oakridge Equine Hospital in Edmond, Oklahoma, and Lazy E Ranch in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Serving as the resident veterinarian at Lazy E Ranch from 2012 to 2018, Dr. Rogers eventually established his private equine veterinary practice, now known as Rogers Equine, in 2018. Beyond his professional pursuits, he enjoys CrossFit and spending time with Kassie, their dogs, and their horses.


Kassie Hohenstein
Practice Manager/Vet Assistant

Born and raised in Shakopee, Minnesota, Kassie completed her high school education in 2005. She furthered her academic journey at North Dakota State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics in 2009. With a deep-rooted connection to the American Quarter Horse industry, Kassie boasts extensive experience across its diverse facets. Growing up showing huntseat and western Quarter Horses and Paints, she transitioned to barrel racing and rodeo during her college years. As a WPRA cardholder, Kassie has successfully qualified for multiple PRCA/WPRA Circuit Finals Rodeos. Her expertise extends to training futurity barrel horses, achieving numerous victories and qualifications at national futurities and derbies. Kassie spends her free time barrel racing, going to horse and mini mule shows, CrossFit, and being with Michael, their dogs, and their horses.


Kaylee Dunn
Administrative Assistant

Raised in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Kaylee completed her high school education in 2011. Post-graduation, she dedicated several years as a veterinary assistant in a local ambulatory practice. Currently, Kaylee is a business owner, managing an online boutique store while actively participating in the operations of a cattle ranch alongside her husband Bret and daughter Bryndel. An accomplished barrel racer, Kaylee has secured numerous victories at local rodeos and barrel races. Beyond the arena, she finds passion in activities like CrossFit and takes on the role of coaching kickboxing classes.
